DBL Investors provides reports to our Limited Partners and publications on industry issues for the impact investing community.
Impact Measurement
DBL Investors issues a semi-annual Double Bottom Line Report for its Limited Partners that reports on its portfolio companies’ business and financial performance (First Bottom Line) as well as their social, environmental, and economic impacts (Second Bottom Line).
The most recent data for the reporting period ending December 31, 2012 showed that portfolio companies (across both funds) have created over 6,000 jobs, many of which are entry-level, high quality jobs with livable wages. 100% of our portfolio companies provide employer co-pay health care benefits, retirement 401K plans and employee stock ownership plans.
DBL Investors encourages its portfolio companies to site company headquarters or facilities in low-moderate income (LMI) areas or Enterprise Zones that positively impact the local tax base in areas that historically have lacked investment capital. At year-end 2012, 8 of 14 of our Fund II portfolio companies have company headquarters and or facilities located in a low-moderate income area or Enterprise Zone.
